Like her other collections, Shinbun (newspaper in Japanese) is the offspring of Esther Mir’s training in the world of fashion. The artist reinterprets a stamping technique learnt in New York applying it on old Japanese newspapers rescued from evanescence. The artist expresses her wish to democratize art incorporating a repertoire of decorative elements making it accessible to a broad public.
